VIRGINIA WARBIRD WEEKEND

There is no smoking permitted on the field

Please do not touch or climb on vehicles and aircraft

No drones, quad-copters or other similar machines can be operated on airport property

No segways, hoverboards or similar motorized vehicles are permitted on the field (this does not include mobility assistive devices.

No pets

No coolers
-
No tents, umbrellas or sun coverings

No alcohol is permitted at the show.

No weapons (No weapons may be brought in by the general public, period attire or otherwise).

Is the Virginia Warbird Weekend an Airshow?Yes! With Airplanes flying all-day long!

Is there special Member Ticket Pricing?The advanced ticket discount is greater than regular member ticket pricing would be for the event, so purchase early to save!

Will I have to pay for parking?No! Parking is free on-site in our on-field parking, and there is no bus ride needed to get to the parking lot.

Are there special activities for veterans?Adjacent to our WWII & Korean War Veterans Hospitality Area there will be a meet and greet space where veterans who wish to share their stories with the public will be able to do so!

Are we allowed to bring food and drinks into the event?You can bring your own food and drinks, however food vendors are available on site. Please note that no alcohol is permitted, and neither are coolers.

Will we be able to take tours inside the planes or get close to them?Cockpit tours are available for selected airplanes.

Will this event proceed rain or shine?The event will proceed rain or shine, though in the event that no aircraft fly on Saturday as a result of the weather, Saturday tickets will be honored on Sunday. The airplanes will be available for public viewing under cover where possible, even in the rain.

Can I fly-in to watch the show?Because of the limited space available on site, and the all-day flying schedule, it will not be possible to fly in to watch the show.

Is Virginia Warbird Weekend replacing Warbirds Over the Beach?No, we are still looking forward to scheduling a Warbirds Over the Beach show later in 2021, more information will be forthcoming.

What steps are being taken to reduce the possibility of spreading COVID-19?The Museum Staff are carefully monitoring state regulations governing events of this type and are adjusting the protective steps as necessary. For more information please visit our COVID Safety Steps page to find out more.

Can I buy rides in the airplanes?Airplane rides are expected to be on sale at this event, with COVID safety precautions for ride aircraft currently under review. More information on how to purchase your ride is coming soon!

Where is the handicapped parking?Handicapped parking is on the hardscape adjacent to the entry gates, though please be aware that much of the venue is on unimproved grass. Have your handicapped placard on display when driving in so you can be directed to the correct parking area. Overflow handicap parking may be on the grass adjacent to the entry way.

Are pets allowed at the event?No, pets are not allowed. For the safety of your pets, please leave them at home.

Will there be food and drink vendors at the event?There will be food vendors on site.

What activities will be available for children?The Museum’s education department will be converting one of our Hangars into an Aviation Discovery Zone with activities set up for children and families!
